Hi if I built a web site and hard coded the urls, does anyone have a site ripper that I can rip my own sites?

Does anyone know of a tool that will rip sites off the internet locally on your machine, and make it so you could upload the site somewhere and it would work perfectly on a new domain,  it might even have something that changes graphics names, directories, etc.. but when you upload the site it works fine on the new domain.

I am curious about this technology.

If the site is dynamic, there is no way to get the dynamic pages... you can get a static version of the pages....

IMHO....

yeah, im looking for a site ripper or scrapper that, I can get all the content in html and it will work locally on my computer, or if I upload it to a new domain it will work fine on that new domain. something like this...

but as Is sead, you will loose all the upsides of the Dynamic content...

dont want dynamic want html pages of content.

wanted for a free news site, that aggregates news.

You could try using .htaccess to protect your templates folder, but even that isn't really enough. Ultimately, if anyone wanted to badly enough, they could rip your design despite what measures you implement to prevent it. If you want to prevent ripping altogether, the best thing you could do is not publish the design or make it available to the public.  I know, it sucks from a designer’s point of view, but the way I see it, usually sites that resort to ripping don't go very far, so it's not worth the stress.
